Departures affected by highway works in Lord Street, Douglas - Phase A |

Commencing from all departures after 0815 on Wednesday 14th July 2010, due to the resurfacing works, a number of bus services will not be able to depart from the shelters in Lord Street and will depart from the points as detailed in the leaflet below. Over the next few weeks there will be several phases of work which will affects buses differently, all details will be made available online. |

Additional dates added for the Ultimate Driving Experience |

The Department is pleased to announce that due to high demand they will now be running extra dates on ‘The Ultimate Driving Experience’ throughout September 2010. The event, operating on the Island’s Heritage Railways, will give members of the public a chance to experience driving one of the Island’s historic Electric Trams. Each experience will be run over a full day and will include safety briefings, a history of the trams, theory information and ultimately the chance to drive one of the trams between Laxey and Ramsey. New Rail and Bus Fares for 2010 |

From Friday 2nd April a new fare structure will be in operation for the Island’s Bus and Rail services. The new structure will result in an overall 10% average rise in fares and the introduction of a new fare category, aimed at benefiting those that use the buses for short journeys. 2010 Residents Railways Tickets Now Available |
|
The Department of Tourism and Leisure is pleased to announce the availability of Resident tickets for the 2010 season. These tickets offer residents unlimited travel on all scheduled services for the full season, on the Island’s Steam, Electric and Snaefell Railways. They are valid from the 13th March to the 7th November. Adult tickets cost £50 and children’s tickets cost £25 (ages 5-15). You can download an application form below or obtain from the Isle of Man Welcome Centre and main stations. The Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal is open Monday to Saturday 8.00am - 6.00pm. A passport sized photo will be required for each applicant. |
